Since its formation over 21 years ago the Association has endeavoured to excel in all areas. We provide our students with top quality instruction in both traditional Shito-Ryu and sporting Karate practice, dependent on the student's particular area of interest.

The Shitokai Scotland Association has grown in stature since the early years, maturing into one of Britain's most successful Karate organisations with a membership of over 800 students. The Shitokai headquarters are in Tokyo, Japan and the Association maintains direct links to Japan as well as to a large worldwide network of other Shitokai Associations. Our success is due to the vast experience, hard work, vision and commitment of our senior instructors who provide only the best quality Karate and of course the loyalty and dedication of its most important people - the students themselves.
